Kek Lok Si...

Sun, 17th Feb... It was my 1st time to Kek Lok Si, the most famous trourist spot in Penang. It looked extra ordinary during CNY, as the lighting there had always lighten it up beautifully. Visited Kek Lok Si was one of our CNY event, Mummy told me last time that they always went with my great grand Kong Kong and Poh Poh.

The wording in Kek Lok Si was the master piece of my great grand Kong Kong, too bad i would never had a chance to go Kek Lok Si with him. Anyway, i truly admired his master piece there, so proud of him. Wondering why non of my family members had inherited his artistic integrity??? May be i'm the one... :D

Mummy also made a donation on behalf of me, it was to say a prayer for my family. Kek Lok Si will have my name on it... see what had written on the roof tile :)

Friday, 15th Feb... Stayed home with mummy in the afternoon, we had 123 fun time.. Hap hap!

Pai Tin Kong...

Thursday, 14th Feb... Happy Valentine's day to all of you, but instead of celebrating Valentine's day, i celebrated "Tin Kong Day" with my family and frens. We didn't get Roses but sugar canes today :P

"Tin Kong Day" was on the 9th day of CNY, but the prayers was on the eve. It was really a big day for Hokkien, since I'm one of them, I also started to celebrate this big occasion even though I'm just a little baby. I know there was a story for this occasion... will learn more when i grow up. "Mum... remembers to tell me!!!"

I saw all my aunties and uncles were busy building up the "Gold Mountain" using the "Gold" papers during the prayers to wish for prosperity. My Kong Kong has prepared a lot of food and fruits for the prayers as the traditional practice, they all looked so yummy again. It was the most happening day for me in this Chinese New Year... Happy "Tin Kong Day"!!!

My cousins...

Sat, 9th of Feb... Daddy and mummy's primary schoolmates paid us a visit in the afternoon, they brought along their kids too. Thus i got a lot of friends to play with today.

At night, we had dinner with my eldest Ku Ku and family from KL. She got 4 sons, i bet my cousins and i gonna be very noisy when we can play in future. My mummy will have headache by then... ha ha!

2nd day...

Friday, 8th Feb... 2nd day of CNY, as usual mummy they all would have lunch with my great grand Poh Poh. So this year they have my companion too. We went for Tim Sum at Corner Club. After Tim Sum, we went to "Kuan Yin Theng" to pray, this was another default schedule on 2nd day of CNY. But I didn't went down to the temple, as again i fell asleep in the car :P "What to do, I'm just a baby though, sleeping is very important to me :P" We went home to rest after the prayers, then Auntie Fanne visited us and played mahjong till night


Mummy forgot to bring my pacifier, see what my Poh Poh used to shut my mouth... what a creative idea???







I could hold my bottle to drink myself d, seeeeee.... i just used one finger only... haha!

Gong Xi Fatt Chai

Thursday, 7th of Feb... 1st day of Chinese New Year. I couldn't sleep late anymore, as we got a lot of places to go. Thus mummy woke me up around 9am, although i was so unwillingly to open my eyes, i still have to finish my milk and take my bath with my half opened eyes. After i dressed up nicely, daddy and mummy gave me my 1st "ang pow" of the day. I was happy to get it, but just too tired till could only rest on the bed and let the "ang pow" covered me. Ha ha!

1st stop, we went to my Ah Kong house, followed by my Kong Kong's house. Then together with Kong Kong they all, we went to 5th grand uncle's house to meet the Koay families. This was the yearly event to meet there for CNY gathering. 1st time for me to meet all my uncles and aunties at one place and i managed to get a lot of "ang pow" :) Since i'm the newest and youngest member of the family, i became the star of the day again... :D

Before we went home to rest, we went to another grand auntie's house for CNY visit. I was too tired and sleepy, till i couldn't stand any longer and slept during the journey to the grand auntie's house. I slept like no body business... couldn't even say hi to anyone :P

It was another long day for me, felt so good to be home finally...

Reunion Moment...

Wednesday, 6th of Feb... Chinese New Year Eve, everyone should be heading home to get together for a great reunion dinner. For me, I was pretty busy... as have to run 2 places for dinner. Around 7pm, daddy and mummy brought me to Ah Kong's house for "paternal" reunion dinner, we had steamboat. One and half hour later, we went to Kong Kong's house for "maternal" reunion dinner. Although daddy and mummy were pretty full, they still continue enjoyed the good food cooked by my Kong Kong and i also had my second round of milk... hee hee!

After dinner, mummy cooked bird nest at Kong Kong's house, requested by Kao Fu Kenny and Yi Yi Kim. Mummy said she hardly eat bird nest after delivered me, as not time to pick the bird nest. Unlike last time, she picked and ate every week just for me. But I think she is lazy now instead of no time, anyway i still need to thank her for being so hardworking in picking bird nest to eat for me through out her pregnancy :P

Every year, mummy they all will buy a family T-shirt to wear on CNY eve. This year, they got Hang Ten T-shirt, too bad Hang Ten doesn't have baby size or else i should have one too. After everyone took their shower, they changed on the new family T-shirt and i wore a new pajamas, which Poh Poh bought for me from Ayer Itam Market :P When we prepared to go to the temple for prayer, i wet my pajamas with my milk milk again. "Sorry mum, i vomit again" Thus, i got to change on the last clothes mummy prepared for me... a blue Bugs Bunny shirt and pants. "Luckily still have new clothes to change on, if not i gonna catch a cold!"

Last but not least, we took our 1st family photo with Yi Yi Kim around before we went out... Here started my 1st CNY!!!

Time to go home...

Tuesday, 5th of Feb... Time to go home for Chinese New Year preparation, thus mummy brought me home earlier from auntie's place. I would be home for a week this time... Hurray hurray!!! See my yoga posture... it's always good to be home!!!

Last Minute Shopping...

Sunday, 3rd of Feb... Earlier in the morning, i went to Kong Kong and 5th grand uncle's house with my family to say a prayer for 2 of my great grand fathers. Then, we had a last minute CNY's shopping from mall to mall, as Kong Kong and Kao Fu Kenny still haven't get their new year clothes. We went to Island Plaza, followed by Gurney Drive to get a bite, it was my 1st time at the hawker corner, the food was so tempted... too bad i cannot eat yet. Finally, we end our shopping journey at Gurney Plaza. It was really a long long day for me... tired!!!!

Since mummy already bought me a lot of clothes, therefore i didn't get anything in this last minute shopping but took a lot of pictures. This time my pictures were in Sepia color mode, mummy and Yi Yi Kim tried to make them looked more artistic... Do they?? Ha ha!!!
